Looking for some advice/suggestions on fish finders.
62 and I’ve owned a few fish binders in my life but I have not kept up with the new technology and it’s been over 20 years at least.

I just purchased a Maxxon 240 I want to put a fishfinder on it.
I’ve been to fishfindermounts.com pretty much know what I wanna do or I can make my own I don’t know what fishfinder to go with.

I need something inexpensive and simple nothing fancy.
And what size battery fits inside those battery boxes.

Right now I’m looking at a Garmin Striker 4
???

If you go through fishfindermounts.com they will give you a complete solution. They ate the experts for sure. I have a Pontoon and use a Lowrance Hook on it. I have a Cumberland and use a Humminbird Fishing Buddy on it. The FishingBuddy is the simplest to install and uses AAA batteries, super easy. I used a Deeper Pro for a while but was unhappy with the phone as a monitor.

Here is a link to what I did on the pontoon.

If you do a search on fishfinders you can cover a lot of research.
Here is a link with a lot of different ideas

I hope this helps

I have used a Deeper fish finder before and was frustrated by the use of my phone as a monitor. 8 months ago I pulled the trigger on a Garmin Stryker 4 and a float tube fanatics mounting system. It has been awesome. I have not mastered all the features, but it is a game- changer. I have even used it for ice fishing.

Undoubtedly finding the best fish finder for kayaks on a tight budget is quite difficult. And honestly speaking, you might be compromising with some handful of features.

In this case, you can trust this fish finder list. I put endless effort to pick the best one within a reasonable budget. Each of the fish finders has entered the list due to their top-grade performance.

But my personal favorite is the Garmin Striker – a portable and smart piece of equipment that just amazed me with superior quality even an affordable price tag. So good luck and have fun.

Kindly Take a look at our best Humminbird fishfinder post, Hope so you’ll get your right fishfinder.

This is off topic as you are looking at affordable finders. I would love to put a 9" screen matched to a Garmin Livescope...... Of course, $$$$. Smile
