First, Thank you for the Addition to the Forum. I am a complete newb to float tubes. My wife ordered me a Classic Accessories Cumberland for my Christmas Present and it's scheduled to arrive on the 24th of November. I live in Southwest Missouri with many places to fish. I will be going through the threads old and new to learn all I can. Looking forward to many years of a new way to fish...

OK I got a question for those of ya'all that use waders. Due to that not so well liked Arthur, Arthuritise fellow, I need insulated waders for the tube. Cold just destroys my knee and ankle on my left leg. Are Neoprene waders warm? or should I add some more insulation???

I fish in Northern Kansas and have both knees replaced. Most of the time my knees are above the waterline, so it hasn’t been an issue for me. I have fished out of a pontoon, a cumberland and a roughneck. I use breathable waders. I have fished into November before. If I was fishing in the mountains. I would probably get some neoprene.

Thank you for the feedback. I had planned on getting the breathable for the warmer months, but already have the neoprene waders, just haven't had the opportunity to use them.

In the cold months Neoprene is I think best and you can add layers underneath your waders to aid in warmth as well.
