Potential new Spot????

Question anyone ever float tube or at least fish this area.
San Gabriel River Bike Trail, Seal Beach, CA 90740

I have been by many times and the sand bar in the channel is always open.  I was talking to some guys today and they said they picked up a few Halibut and some nice Sandbass as well.  You have to port you boat over rocks but it looks doable.  What do you guys have to say.

I have fished from the rocks there, but never a tube. The SA river really moves on the tide change.

Ya I heard this also just wondering is it legal to tube there.

Back in the day fished the shore for some monster bonita, needle fish, huuuuge bat rays. Caught a snapping turtle there once and lets just say what I thought was a cat in the rocks was the biggest rat I have ever seen.....
