I have twin 13 year old adopted sons; Eion and Nathanael. Both have fished with me for years. Previously, we fished out of a 16 foot inflatable - which I had converted to a full bass boat, complere with swivel seats, a live well etc. However, because we are living full time in an RV, it became too cumbersome. Therefore I moved back into my beloved float tube.
Nathanael recently informed us that for his upcoming birthday he wanted to float tube fish too. The kid is as skinny as a rail, but wears men's size nine shoes (long skinny feet).
Needless to say waders were a challenge, but we found some. They are quite large, but have proven to work fine in testing. We have fins on order and he will be inheriting my FishCat 4 tube to start off with. We have also already done some trial runs in the pool.
Anyway, his first ever day of float tube fishing will be next Saturday at Otay lake. Wish us luck!
