Dryer is not working

So does anyone now how to repair a whirlpool dryer that does not give off any heat. I have had this problem before, it is just to much to call the repair man this time. I know I can get to the heating coil. The last time it was a different problem something like a broken cupling for the gas line, I think.

jeff, check the vent. when the vent gets clogged up it will not give off heat sometimes. I have had to clear my vent afew times and from inside of the unit its self.

Make sure the vent is not crushed in the back also. I know its oblivious but is the gas on?

when ours broke last time we cleaned it relly well while we had it apart...
our son has been out of the house for 5 yrs. now.
we found LEGOS in the bottom of the lint filter system!!
might not be the coil, we had to replace a sending unit of some kind.
WAY cheaper than the coil!
call some place that sells and repaires that brand.
not a big place tho.
you should be able to get the info you need to DIY the job.

Sounds like its time for a new one???? Call a small mom and pop shop to go out and check it out and they can tell you what is wrong and you can do the rest ofter that. Go to the sear repair center in Lakewood and give them the Make , Model, and part number so they can order it for u and DYI can show you how to re-place it???

I will looking to all these things, and I checked the gas is on, I am hoping it is the lint.
