SD Harbor 10/19/11 AM Fishing

So I got a wild hair this morning and hit San Diego Harbor and was in the water by 4am. Bite was slow just until sunrise then someone threw the switch and game was on. Total fish count was over twenty nice fat spotties. Ed5000X was get a picture by Picture play of the bite. Figured I would finally get some pics out of my camera. Sorry about the quality on the pics, was on my phone, going to get a new camera tomorrow.

Holy Moly those look awesome great job cant wait fish for those. Do you guys ever keep those fish if so how do they taste?

Never ate a spottie always released them but yea I got wake up text from Dane at 645 am and wishing I was there wow I was getting them all this the morning great job buddy

Damm sounds like im going to have to make a field trip out of this one weekend. Lets load up the Expedition and the toy hauler and roll out !!!!!!!!!!!! Ill drive from La Palma and go picking up all the guys on the way there. Just park at the local carpool parking lot. I do this when I go take the truck out for car shows and the rest of the guys from SOCALSPL.com like to go and check out the show. Also works out great for Carp rounds ups when Bow-fishing is on during the spanning time.

We don't really keep what comes out of the harbor because of the water quality. At least that is why I don't, plus let make sure the are there for the next trip.

SocalSPL huhhh... Just remind me to bring my ear plugs and a pace maker. Last time I was in a SPL truck I could swear I was having a heart attack.

I have eatin spottys and sand bass real tasty. I won't eat anything out of Dana harbor. Newport yes and only halibut out of long beach.

LOL,LGHT. I live in a house that are all females and Asian, Filipino, Japanese,Cambodian, Korean. These girls will cook it all and damn do they know how to cook. LOL No fish go's to waist here. They seem to love the crock-er the most, So If you guys don't mind keeping them Ill pick them up and have the girls post pictures. Im Latino and so is my lady and daughter but being around these girls I have learn so much about Asian food. LOL I can make my own Orange chicken. We all eat fish that have some type of pollutant in them. Fish from Asia also have the same water, they don't do as much as we do in U.S.A to clean the water before they dump it into there coast. But we still eat there fish from them?? LOL just my 2 cents.

very nice, if I was going to make the run down to SD I think I would have to make it an overnight trip or maybe even an entire weekend.
