I took my tube out on Otay yesterday with the Bixpy motor installed and I have to say it was amazing.
Pros
︎ Very quiet and nondescript
︎ Quite powerful, I had no trouble traveling into a stiff breeze
︎ Battery lasts a looong time.
BONUS PRO
The reverse feature on the motor allows me to position myself exactly where I want in relation to the shoreline or structure while facing it. I didn't know how much I needed this feature until I had it. No more turning my back to the shore, looking over my shoulder then turning the tube around when I reach an estimated distance.
Con (with disclaimers)
︎ Motor fouls easily with grass, weeds, tules etc...
One of the reasons the Bixpy generates so much trust efficiency for such a small motor and battery is because of the vortex shaped cowl that surrounds the prop. Unfortunately this directs any debris right around the propeller. I fouled it 3 times during my day and had to use needlenose fishing pliers to clear it out. Bixpy sells a back cover with smaller vent holes that should help a lot with this (which I ordered). To be fair, Otay is the only place I fish that this is a problem. It is just full of dead tules and other vegetation debris free floating around in the water right now.
To summarize I am extremely happy with it and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to motorize their float tube.
