Maiden Voyage 8/27

Finally got a free day off and spent the morning at castaic lagoon today. No fish caught. But a beautiful first day on the water in the float tube. It was awesome. Started the morning throwing some top water lures. Some some bass chasing shad on the surface. Looking for a giant I spent most of the morning chucking a 6 inch weed less Huddleston.

Congrats on your first trip out, might sound funny but I still remember my first trip out over 15 years ago. You have just scratched the surface of your new found hobby.

floating is loads of fun, can't wait till you get some slime on that thing and post some fishy pics

I still remember my very first Float tube trip.
Lake isabella June 1981. Launched at the Kernville Airport. Water was on the Runway
Back then a 18" Round Tube was the BIG one. They used a real tire inner tube inside
The fins were Flappers on your Ankles. It was like walking to move foward
