nph Saturday morning 7 to 12 not much action. Was using a 1/2 oz on a 3 inch hammer burnt toast and Xmas tree no luck. Any tips?? I was slow rolling mostly on the bottom by docks. Saw some guys using spinnerbaits but they said no luck as well.

We fished saterday night and it was slow fishing too. Your using the same combo I use but I add hot sauce to it, sometimes they don't want to play.Keep it up there's always another day to slay!

I think this week end was just an off weekend. We had a slow morning at the LAB on Sunday too. Moon phase is right in the middle, cold front came in and tides were not the most favorable for the time I was fishing. Some days are like that. Just don't let them be too often. We had a herd of seals come through our fishing zone and screwed up the bite also.

I agree with waxon on it being an off weekend
If you look at most of the sportboat counts, they had tough fishing too

all the bays and harbors go through cycles. in the 35+ years ive been hitting the bays i can say that we are due for a good season pretty soon... but i believe because of the growth in fishing forums and the explosion of tubers, tooners, and yakers the bays are under alot more pressure then ever... I have not seen really good bay fishing that has stayed good for an extended period of time for quite a few years now... other than diego bay but that was 5 years ago too... example... the summer of 91 I fished NPH every night from june through mid july and always brought along a few buddies and we would fish the ferry boat crossing dock and never have to move to another spot.. we would catch 30-40 bass per night with most being in the 2 pound class and I caught my best spottie ever to date that summer with a 5 1/4 pound beast... the lab used to be the same thing...
