if is merky is better, I`ve been told. and is usualy merky after the rain

If it is stained/murky, throw baits that thump, or have a lot of vibration, like a spinnerbait with Colorado blades..

the Vine after a gully washer,... Dark, cold, muddy water that may take up to a week to clear, especially down the west bank, and up the Santiago Flats. For the cheese gang fish extremely short leaders, (less than 10 inches) White, Yellow and orange. For the lure guys, I used to fish deep diving shad raps in craw colors. fish right on the bottom, and SLOW! Here's a little secret, follow the moving water! Go as far up the Santiago Creek inlet as you can! Good Luck!
