Irvine lake 12/14

Fished from 7am to 4pm at irvine lake I can't believed I've sat in the tube for 9 straight hrs. The weather was decent it stayed pretty much cloudy with lil gust of wind throughout the day. The fishing was pretty slow most of the fish was caught on mini jigs and trout worms. Me and squid ended the day with 6 fish total 4 for him and 2 for me all of the trout was at least 2lbs. I dint get to take any pics because I was to worried about a slow leak I had from a crank bait that I didn't put back in a box.

Conrats on your outting. What's the price these days to get in and also did they check to see if you had your PFD ?

It's 24 bux ...free to to launch your tube and yeah you have to have a PFD with you I think Sierra cove is a good spot right now because they are pumping water into the lake and it should have plenty of oxygen for the fishies

No problem bro best colors seem to be white and yellow or chart and orange mini jigs and trout worms the power mouse worked pretty good also I probably woulda caughtore fish but I had my mine set on trying to catch a bass lol

I haven't been on Irvine in 15 years. Is it feasible to kick a tube over to Sierra cove? Or even allowed?

Yeah your allowed to kick to Sierra cove well the patrol guy didn't say anything about being there. I basically kicked all around the lake launched from the boat dock cove to woody's point across to trout island then up to red clay cliffs with the help of the wind it push us to rocky point then we went into Sierra cove after that we kicked across to the west shore and worked it all the way down to the boat dock lol talk about a work out
