Any chance of some instructional videos taken on the day for those too far away or just can't make it? Maybe put the videos on Youtube, might generate some income for the club if posted with a few ads?

Great call we have a You Tube site now and I think this was a though. Thanks for posting the idea lets see if it can be done. Of course you can always just take a red eye flight in for the event Or maybe when it gets big enough we will set up one DownUnder

This sound Great to get the whole family together that would be really cool

we should do a Camp & Fish day the wife's can kick back at the camp site and we could bring the food back

IT is still in the planning stage but we have a lot of donated tubes, fins, waders, PFD's and other items. We also have a hand full of members willing to donate there time to teach, guide and explain.

I would b down to do some tips tech vids.... I got my camera goin now an should b np.

Cool motorazr was asking if we could do that, I will put you down on the list. With waxon67 Saltistmafia You Tube page we should be helping out all kinds of people and landing a ton of new members.

Let's simplify the list by focusing on the major things needed to get this workshop rolling.

1.Clip boards
2.flash cards
3.camera (s)
4.stop watch or ap etc
5.grill
6.charcoal or propane
7.paper goods eg cups, plates, forks etc
8.canopy ?
9.float tubes
10.fins
11.waders
12.pfds
13.floating boat cushions maybe for tube seating?
14.raffle hat or fish bowl etc
15.markers
16.cash box and money to start a drawer
17.location
18.time frame
19.date
20.beach towels in case someone gets wet
21.water bottles
22.cooler
23.food items eg main course and chips etc?
24.prizes
25.give away items eg "swag"

VOLUNTEERS

Plus I got that u boat 2000 that needs a bladder. Maybe you can talk Creek Company into donating a bladder for it. I've also got a few PFD's sitting in my garage that can be used.

I also got a couple of "easy-ups" canopies.

As for a location to hold this event, i'm thinking Santa Fe Dam would probably be the safest place . The lake is not very large and is free of motorized boats.

Ya that list was over whelming, thanks for slimming it down. As for Creek Company that is a great idea I will get on it and let you know. I will talk to you more about location as I have already talk to SFD.

Sfd would be awesome since i only live a couple miles away!!! if it would be possible to get a group discount On the entrance fee for this event only.

It lookslike we are going to have to keep this in the area of NPH, HH, or LAB. I will try to explain better later.

Wow I'm amazed this is the day I can learn everything! I'm new to tubing too... I can learn almost everything this day! Now just looking forward to a date so i can attend this event

As soon as we figure a good place to have it and time thats why i bumped it again to keep everyone reminded about this event

I think the lab would be a good place for this. Considering how there was lots of space at the last gathering. The floor has a gradual incline and minimal current in that part of the bay

Thats a good place we get there early and set up some canopies and ta les and say it a party and we can dock our tube right there at the docks lol

Sounds good! I agree with going with the lab

this sounds like a lot of fun! Im always open to learn more or teach others what i know.
