So tell us when the weather begins to ice over the waters in your area or the winds just blow to hard. How do you get through poor weather and no fishing. How do you feed your fishing addiction Twisted Evil

It takes pretty bad weather to stop me. If its so bad i cant get on the water i may consider shore fishing. But wind is something that i just dont put up with at all...rain i can do. In fact some of the best fishing at Puddingstone is when its flooding (catfish)....but when all else fails there is always a tackle box to organize or reels that need maintenance.....or just wander Bass Pro Shops.....

I agree with bayfishingjunkie, I'll go through my baits and all my treys. Last week I was re arranging my plastics and that took a solid 3 hours. Love finding baits that you forgot about!

I spend a lot of time looking at (youtube) on fishing and looking up different lures and equipment at Bass Pro shop.

Man I thought I had it bad, but you guys really got the fishing bug. I usually watch random vids on fishing, do little DIY projects; organize the garage, there's 30 years worth of junk in there, or I'll fish in my goldfish pond! Red Smile green happy green happy

I'm a SoCal boy so it is never really too cold to fish. If it is too windy or stormy I'll re-organize the garage or catch up on the mowing-trimming-house hold stuff I would normally be blowing off to go fishing.

I usually spend it organizing my tackle and cleaning rods and reels . Then I will start looking at various websites like tackle warehouse and this is when i get in trouble before long i am like hey i always wanted this or that and $200 later i am clicking submit on a order . Funny thing is if the weather is Bad I am usually looking or buying stuff to prepare my self for those situations and get back on the water lol!

Another thing I do is look into things that have caused me issues like hey why do i break fish off while using Tungsten weights? and then i usually try and find a solution on youtube or some site for example

I wanna start tying my own jigs... but if I can't get out to fish I will organize tackle, restock tackle and maintenance reels

Looks like everyone else does about the same thing. I also organize my tackle and tear down my reels.
