I think I have said this before I am really interested in know how to read the weather as it relates to fishing. Understanding in High Pressure / Low Pressure. Maybe being able to read the clouds and the wind currents.
Does anyone have any information of this or maybe some trends that they have noticed over the years? I just think that if you could look to the sky and know that the fish are going to be active, or slow, deep or shallow that you could be better at being prepared for your fishing trips. Does anyone else want to learn this or have info on this? Just what is in my head while I sit here with a rare moment to relax. Tight lines everyone.

I can speak for freshwater bass at Perris.
If the night before I fish has a full moon and no clouds the bass have full belly's and have almost no interest in biting. Apparently the night fishing under the moon is best there. The low pressure moving in improves the bite dramatically. High pressure moving in makes chasing the bass a grind. Cloud cover and a very slight breeze helps the reaction bite at Perris.

Of course after those generalizations I have caught good numbers of bass chasing shad under the noon sun and bluebird sky's during the peak of a dead calm high pressure system sitting on top of me. So the best time to go fishing is ASAP.

The only weather conditions that will stop me is when the wind is stronger than 8-mph or during a total heavy down-pour.

I have fished the same AO's year round in all of the changing seasonal predicted conditions ... most-of-the-times the predictions seem to be right-on ... and then at other times the predictions have been way way-off. Like ...  Shocked  HUH?!?!?

I have documented every-one of my sessions for the past eight years in great detail. If you've read one of my detailed session reports ... that's the format that I use to record each session.

I just luv being out there in all conditions ... come rain or shine.
If the fish are on the chew when I'm out there ... it's a plus!

I can't seem to properly guess when they'll bite the best.

I have found when a cold front is coming in. The bite can be off the hook for trout. Also when there is lots of clouds and no moon. It can be a very fruitful.
