Hey Guys,
Went out yesterday on rising barometric pressure.
This part of San Gabriel Valley was not subject to as intense of winds as other parts of socal and it made for a rather nice day on the water.
Got a bit warm after about 1030, but was an otherwise comfortable day on the water. Forgot all my sun gear, and my tan indicates this.
Water Clarity was about a foot.
Water Temp was in the high 60's for this shallow lake.
Air Temp was mid to high 70's in Irwindale.
Slight wind chop on the water.
I went out a friend, we worked hard.
In my experience this lake requires a few consistent days on the water to pick up patterns with the bass.
Rattletraps, Spinnerbaits, and Chatterbaits were our initial impressions with the limited clarity.
We got 2 big girls:
I got mine on a WHITE 4" Senko fished on 6# flouro
in about 6 feet of water skipping overhanging bushes.
My buddy got his on a chart/white chatterbait on a straight crank over a shallow slope of 2-6 feet.
Here is my fish! Been awhile since I caught a greenback this healthy. Tight Lines ya'll.
