Hello,

Who knows what type of boston valves are used with the Creek Co. ODC 420 Ultralight? I bought a new one in early January and it has a defective valve that leaks through. I can manage it by keeping the cap tight, but, I really need to buy a replacement and Creek Company hasn't responded to my email.
These appear to be a slightly different type than what's on my U-Boat 2000 and on my Cumberland.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

I don't know which type you have, but if you look on Amazon here

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

they show 2 different types and have measurements you can check against.

I know the ultra light has a little different valve then a boston valve. They call it a pro series valve and you need an adapter for your pump. You might have to tighten the valve and they do sell a proseries valve wrench on the webstie for 20 bucks. The valve adapter for the pump is 10 bucks. You can go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] under float tube parts to find these things.

Yeah, I've seen those on their website, but, my new tube doesn't have those. My air pump - which came way back when with my U-Boat 2000 - goes right in.
The valve's threaded portion is **approximately** the same length and diameter as the ones on my U-Boats and Cumberland. The threads are different, however. My U-Boat valve won't thread into the base on the new tube. Also the valve bases between all three tubes are slightly different.

I've bought several Creek Co stuff over the years - 3 tubes and a pontoon boat - and have found them to be good quality. However, over the last, few months they haven't responded to any of my emails and so would rather find another source for these valves (If I pay $$, I'd actually like to receive what I pay for).

I feel you. That is why I bought a lot of caddis products. They always get back to me and have great customer service.
i see you can buy a replacement valve on thier website. It sucks they are leaving you hanging like that. Hopefully they get back to you and make this right. Worst case you can at least buy a replacement valve.
