Laguna Niguel Lake 03-21-12

Did not get to the lake as early as I had hoped but then I never do I was on the water at around 9:00 AM and did not get my first trout until around 11:00. Fish seemed to be keying in on the crappie and Bluegill fry in the lake because most of my fish were on a small 1/64 perch colored tube jig I picked up on e-bay.

I did get some fish on other colored jigs but the perch one was the hot ticket for a while. Bite best between 11:00 and 1:00, then it seemed to slow WAY down thought I did get a few after I took a break at 1:30 to get weighed and photographed.

Total for the day was 8 or 9 with three farmed before I could net them, all were good fish but there was one big one caught...

Trout weighed in at 10 even, this makes two 10lbrs at LNL and two from SARL from back in the day, I cant seem to break that damn 10lb mark when it comes to Lloyds.

Wow great report. I think LNL is probably my favorite trout lake. I've always had good results their. Not quit 10lb, but hopefully I will get something that big one day.

They are reporting that the bass fishery is in full recovery mode and doing great, already reporting 20 bass days.

Now that Rick is back in charge there has been a definate improvement, cant wait to see what he does next.
