Sounds like a nice trip and that's a pretty nice little tube tower you got there. All you need to do now is make a prowler version!

Great meeting you Doc you did great for your first times and thanks for the lift Ed, thanks to you my next project is going to be wheels that work on sand and pavement.

Damn Loki I had no idea the locals were that big of jerks, might have to bring the wrist rocket with a few marbles next time I go there. I don't take being fired upon lightly and pretty accurate with one up to 50 feet, one of the benefits to being raised in the boonies lol.

and on the wheel barrel you have to ask docrunner on that it was first time out design and if the glue didnt break loose i woild only have 1 tube on mine but half way throw the wheel gave way on the wheel barrel design lol

seriously.. I'm not blowing sunshine up Ed's ass.. but Ed and Tom's wheelbarrow design is frickin' brilliant. It's a small single wheel, it disassembles, and converts to a rear bumper. Until the glue boke apart, it was working perfect. It acts like a fulcrum with a bar across the top of the pontoon bladders, and the single strut goes down thru the tube to the wheel. So the weight of the tube actually keeps the wheel at the perfect angle. Hard to explain.. but I'll post a pic if that's ok with Ed. The only thing I'm going to change is the wheel itself. I have a large plastic light wheel that is very wide. It's from a golf pull cart. This will be even lighter, and handle sand much better.

Oh man, they can get pretty crazy there. Never fish there at night alone from the jetty.

Yeah I had a nice LB PD officer give me heads up there once about the problems they have on that jetty

You guys are talking about that narrow passageway, between Grissom Island and what I call "Gangsta Point" at the very tip of that sidewalk jetty? They seem like a colorful bunch, but not bad.. there were kids and families out there Sunday morning. We're all just having fun fishing. But.. this was during daytime. I probably wouldn't make a ninja pass thru this area at night. Is it really something we need to be worried about during daytime tubin'?

Doc, the officer asked what we were doing. We said we were checking it out for a night tubing session and he said be really careful in that area it's very bad with gangs with bad attitudes that are looking for trouble. That's why we never tubed it.

When we spoke to the officer yes it was at night. Pretty much you don't want to be down there after hours with out being armed. The night befor we spoked to the officer they had a guy who ended up with out any teeth by the time they were done with him.

OK the reason I made the wheels for my cart is because there are a few launch areas that are a bit long and when I go by my self I don't want to make a bunch of trips plus the long beach one is about 200 yards and by the time you walk that with your tube and fish and its time to get out that wheel set up it very nice to have and I don't mind one bit how it looks cause after that lb session I was don't looking forward to the walk out of the water and was glad to have my wheels
So who want a set up I will help build it and I know those prowlers get heavy lol

yes, that long beach launch can be a very looonnnngggg walk back to the truck after a long day on the water. For this launch area the wheel system would work out great.
