Lol!! No fish.... I dropped it off at shimano this morning and they couldn't believe we got it, he popped it open and said it still looks really good.

that happened to me i was trollin a crank bait and a fish grabed it and took my rod a week later i was fishin in same spot and get snaged on somethin and when i was reeling in i was thinkin man that would be cool if i caught my rod and what do u no up comes my rob clean everything off the reel and tie on another crank and catch and bam get a 4lbs on it i was super stoked after that day i went and got me some rod holders so that would never happen again

Geez you guys got lucky getting your rods/reels back. Someone go find my Rapala Scale please, some 1.9 lbs spottie is using it as a lip ring in NPH.

FWIW you can make your own rod floats from pool noodles cut to size and zip tied on the rod.

Most rods are lost on a tube when pulling another rod out of the rack. Handles get tangled and splash. Not sure how this leash would prevent that.

rod leashes are great idea but I really cant see how you can loose one if you have a rod rank ? knock on wood I have never had any close calls.

If you have ever lost a rod before it just plan sucks, as a kid I had my new rod pop out of the rod holder on or boat at Puddingstone lake, as we were moving to a new spot. I agree losing a rod on the tube is kind of hard to do but I am sure that if you are to into the big one you just hooked, you might lose some concentration and "what were is my other rod S*!T" I like the idea .:LOLLY:. has in the above picture.

While fishing the SBS last saterday night i was netting a grump of a fish for my teamate, he starts yelling "your rod"!! i look over at my rod and it was sinking... My 400te/calcutta rod down to the abyss, we tried with treble hooks with no luck!! Last night, 4 days later we hit the spot one more time to see if we can get it. After 20 minutes i called it off but my buddy said one more cast," i said why not" he starts yelling im hooked up, i look over he hooked my braided line and out comes my rod/reel!! F'n AWESOME.....

That is AWESOME. I hope I have the same luck if I ever drop a combo. Or maybe I should take preventive measures NOW...

Should of used one of these yesterday on my pliers....lost them at NPH...nothing good to report...windy as$ $ hit....getting pushed around big time....nailed a sandbass. ..nothing of size....so no pic.....

I didnt lose a rod, but I lost a ROD HOLDER!! Cheap Berkely rod holder came off the base when i hit a wake. Good thing I didnt have a rod in it.

I came across these on eBay. They should work great for your rod, pliers, nippers, lure box, etc. I put a lanyard on anything I don't want to lose into the water.
These are cheap and have plenty of extension. Too many to buy? Split them with a fishing buddy or two.
