Saying Aloha Tubers!

Hey fellow tubers! I was turned to this site from another tuber! Looks like a great site! I look forward to reading and posting reports! Look forward to doing to some tube fishing with some of you locals sometime! I am in the LA and OC area. I have not tubed for a couple of years now and this year, I want to take some me time to do what I love to do! Here's a short video (very short) of my first solo 50 minute tubing trip to Santa Fe Dam earlier this week. Love the site!

Thanks Jeff! I am in for the 26th. That is how I learned about this site as well. I got an invite to tube with you guys on the other site I am on as well. Looking forward to a fun event!

Wow that is c.cc...cccccold! A week ago here,night time temps were in the high 30's. I was freezing just walking into my house! Be safe in that weather and watch some fishing on TV in front of a fireplace!

that's what me and my son have been doing we both have the itch so bad, I got us 2 float tubes for Xmas and we are dying to get out and use them

That was a great video. Maybe will have to figure out where to mount my helmet cam so I can get some live footage.

Thanks Dano! I actually had the format wrong. It could have been a bit more wide. I plan on having that cam out on every tubing trip!

One of the guy here were i work has a head cam for when he goes riding he says its water proof but it cost 300 dollars

I dug my helmet cam from my riding days out last night after seeing that video. I love that new Outback rod holder so I guess I will wait to get one (maybe they will have it at the fly fishing show this weekend) then mount it to that. Ohh yeah I can seeit now, me crankin in the big fish of the day then right as I go to bring it up it spits the hook in my face. All caught on camera for all to enjoy. Sounds like fun to me !!!

Ouch! thats beyond my budget, but it would be cool to catch some good video.

I have an Olympus 1030sw. Its shock proof and waterproof to 30'. It has full video capabilities. They are on ebay for around 100. Mine originally cost 425.00 Buying them used is pretty risk free because the quality is so high from Olympus. All you need is a bike helmet, a hole and a 1/4 x 20 bolt and you have a head cam. I really recommend this camera if you are going to spend money and do your own mods rather than a kit style set up. Just be creative.

I also have the Olympus waterproof camera, I highly recomend it.
