Back in business....

Long story short:

Might be staying in California after all...in other words I will need a float tube again.


I sold my other tube and with that money I was able to buy some new rods/reels for targeting the bigger species. I was also able to get a free tanden kayak which will serve my needs on the water in search of bigger critters.

Now I'm getting my old tube back that I sold to my buddy.....


In other words: I pretty much downgraded float tubes but in the process I opened up some new doors!

Ill see ya'll on the water soon.....from my yak, tube or a party boat near you!

Thanks guys. And during my time of absence I've still been fishing....targeting bat rays a lot on the bigger gear and hitting the surf along with a few party boat trips.


To make a long story short: my brother was in town a little while back and was the only one in my family to tell me to stay out here if i wanted to...everybody else was pressuring me to come home even though i didnt want to. I felt guilty because my parents are pretty old (i was adopted so they are in there 70's)....but he told me thay i need to worry about my future including my girlfriend (who has a young daughter). Pretty much if she came home with me it would be so friggen hard to make it work out whil i try going to college...


Its not 100% just yet but I need to think about whats best for me and my future while still trying to satisfy everybody else...which is impossible lol

Plus all my friends are out here, my hometown has been taken over with a drug problem since i left, and the weather and fishing are awesome out here!

Ya I am leaning this along the way as well you cannot make everyone happy. I mean I know this but now I really know this. You are right and so is your brother, think of your future and needs. Family pressure suck and it is almost never in your best interest to bend to help out because family needs it.

Please don't get me wrong guys helping out when it is needed is always the right thing to do. But there are a lot of different ways to do this as well with out screwing yourself over. Plus if your girlfriend is that special one (sorry it just seem to fit) then you do need to think of her as well. I married a women that had a son and if you are going to be in there lives not just her life then you have to think of the 3 of you not just the 2 of you. Sounds like you are thinking for yourself and will make the right choice what every it is. Well that is my 0.20 Cents ( a little more that 0.02 cents) Sorry to spill in your topic just started coming out. Tight lines and glad to hear you might be staying. Dam there it is more pressure

Im sure ill end up making the right decision....either way i plan on doing a lot more fishing this summer so let's get at it people. Lok I'll definitely be heading north for a jungle sesh with you..just gotta be reunited with my old friend (tube) first.


And bod I'm with you....i consider you guys friends as well. I like how socak has a really tight fishing community...its nothing like this on the east coast.


I'm sure I'll see you on the water one of these says bod...hopefully at the next gathering or something.

it's not easy being selfless.. and trying to keep family and personal stuff together.
