LAB report today 7/12 GOT BROKE OFF X( !!

Quik report from today,I got on the water at 6:45.caught a lizard within 10 mins after launch,paddled across to the deep end n tossed out my 3” hammer.start working my bait n half way I feel like im snagged...I paddle back toward the spot.as soon as I was on top my line,it starts running!!! im like WTF??!!! So I go for a nice lil slay ride trying to back peddle w it...it takes me almost back across to the beach so.it gets close to shore then starts peeling more drag im trying to get to shore so I can beach the monster idk HALI??BAT RAY??...then POP my line goes limp.... I should have let it run since I was in open water....oh welllll...better luck next time!!had a small leak in my tube so I packed up n did some shore Fishing.

Caught this lil guy next to a piling closest to shore.


Todays catch: 2 lizards,1 spottie
Casualties: 2 3” hammers.

my day just got a better....
It turns out that I must have dropped my bag of hammers some where during taking the pix of the spottie...now I need to go buy more for Sunday....

I've had that happen to me a couple of times there. Probably a big bat ray, there are some huge ones at the LAB.
