I'm confused too... I thought Pier J was the sunken remnants of the LB Pier, right along the sand at Shoreline parking lot? You kick over it on your way to Grissom? I must be mistaken too..

Well my understanding from old LB lore is in fact the old pier structure at Grissom was called pier J before Queen Mary ever came to LB. Hence, I referred to it as such. Actually pier J at the Queen Mary is not even a pier. It's a jetty wall. You can drive right up to it....or at least you used to be able to. This is all stuff that goes back to when LB was not LB but actually founded and called "Wilmore" and Mr. Wilmore is buried at the cemetery on Willow and Orange. The Wilmore hotel is the copper top hotel above what Lok is calling Alamitos beach...where you me Ed all launched and fished before. It sits at the corner of Ocean and Shoreline.

My mistake is when you say pier J people think over by the Queen Mary.. Sorry guys. Back on topic...yes...yes?

ok with all that said and with safty being a great part of this trip i can not read the tide charts that well and i might need some help on the right day to do this and the right place to launch so if anyone can help set this trip in motion i would be thankful
it looks like a lot of fun and a very good day of fishing to be had but also have to be safe

So i guess Lok is the only one who been to the white island so he should lead it! I'd probably try to go out there and get stuck lol. I'm not good with reading the wind lol

hahaha thanks guys! Just to also let you know, White has always been a last minute deal cause of hitting it up at the right tides! I'll try to make it happen on a saturday and i'll post a invite on thursday, probably in two weeks. so stay tuned,..
