i just bought 2 shimano curados, the 200g5 and 200g6 at a really good price and i just cant find the right rod to go with them. Wondering if you guys have an ideas and size and all the specs for a rod so i can specifically search the right one haha well thanks for the help in advance Thumbs Up

I personally like medium heavy rods, from 6'6 to 6'10” shimano rods have lifetime warranty and thier local. Thumbs Up

Since you're float tubing, I would recommend something in the 6'-6" or 7'-0".

What line do you plan on putting on the reels and what do you plan to throw?

X2 on size and med heavy works well in the harbor hit up jeff see if he gots any good deals

Im useing 20# braid(Berkley fire line) on my setup,its nice and thin and super strong! Thumbs Up

Lure from 3/8-1 oz
30# PP with 6-12# Flouro leader around 3'

well i picked up a shimano rod at big and i have a 20% off coupon right now if you want it it a 6'6'' med fast action i use did one all the time so your looking at about 25 buck - 20%

The only shimano rods I've had a terrible experience with r the low budget $20 spinning rods like from big5.they really suck!!! But the casting rods r awesome!!

The Clarus is pretty inexpensive for what you get. I have 3 of them, spinning and casting, never had 1 fail yet, and if you do, it's an over the counter exchange, depending on where you bought it.. Wink BTW, these rods work Great in the bays.. Cool

i got my rod for 20 buck at big 5 and i am still useing it today it been about a year and last night i got a 16 inch spotty and it handle it well i like this rod a lot
