Hello every one my name is jesus but you guys can call me CHUY.I been wanting to buy a float tube for awhile now and ithink it might happen this week
i been at work all nite and ibeen looking around everywhere but ibeen doin my window shopping and iwas ganna get a fish cat 4 deluxe but now and actually looking into getting the TOGIAK Fly Fishing PONTOON FLOAT TUBE the reason why is cuz its alot cheaper and igatta buy 2(one for me and one for the gf)we both enjoy surf fishing so we wanna try sumthing new
oh yea and im from the Long Beach area close to the downtown area
any good info about that tube??

Welcome to the boards! You will have a blast fishing from a tube.

Personally I have never fished from that tube so can't help you there. If you let us know your budget, someone here might be able to suggest a good tube within your price range

I have the cumberland, and it is awesome. It does ride up a bit higher out of the water, so if you or your gf are tiny or short-legs,
that might be an issue. It's the perfect tube for big dudes like me.

welcome to the forum jesus once you use that float tube your gonna be addicted hope you can make it to our next gathering at lake perris and i also have a cumberland just picked it up and havent hit the waters yet but im already in love with it also dont forget to re-up on hooks and weights and jigs and some fins and lifejacket is you need one you can also hit up waterskeeter on this forum he sells cheap stuff

same price range. And these companys

Cover Bonanza and Creek Company. Just
look at their banners on both sides of this page (sometime you have to scroll down a bit) Always try to keep in mind there will be several accesories
you will need too along with your tube like a pump,fins,waders for colder water,building a custom rod holder,etc.etc.etc. but it's all worth it!! Anyway,keep us posted as to what you decide and when you get out on the water we all love to read your "reports" as we call them. Oh,by the way,I went with the ODC420 and don't regret it one bit! I paid $179 including $20.00 for shipping.

Welcome to the forum glad you found us hope you learn a lot from these guys because they are very willing to share. The Cumberland is a great tube and the cost is outstanding as well through Cover Bonanza. As for the TOGIAK I had 2 of them I was very happy with them both, but they do take a beating and it is true you get what you paid for. Cover Bonanza has both of those tubes, if it were me I would do the Cumberland not because the TOGIAK was not worth the money but because the cumberland is a top notch tube over all.

okay so iwas looking around and isee alot of guys dont wear a life jacket?
is that an optional thing?, can i buy that later in the future and buy like a net or sumthing else instead?

it's not optional. and it's unwise to not have one.
Many (all) will have the PFD clipped onto their tube.

Also, I believe.. that in some areas (LBC and the LAB??), it might be required to have some kind of floatation device.
I've read somewhere that even stand-up paddle boarders need to have something. They sell fanny packs that have
CO2 cartridge activated floatation devices.

Regardless of the law.. you should have one nearby.
