Well with all the boat work and home chores caught up. I needed to get out in the tube. Haven't been able to get much fishing in, in the last month or so. I took advantage and got down there, to spot one..no parking, spot two too many people, spot three the same, so What the hay gotta do it. I got ready launched at 5 wanting to tube till dark then go on the hunt for silver...wind was up a bit but not too bad like 10 out of the nw. water clear and warm. tide coming in from a 1.6 something. Strted with a 1/2 oz. war swim jig (dirty) witha med silver willow leaf attached to the hook. started blasting around before I found the first solid slam. nice fish 15in. I found the fish right off they were all on the outside weed beds deeper water...The retrieve was as erractic as it could be. sink, pop it up, roll through the weeds pause , fast reel two cranks. they would hit it on one of the changes in pace. It really helped keeping it low in the weeds. fished all around shallow found me two dinks. the rest of the 14 fish were 14 to 17+. Haven't seen a bite like this in a long while. I fished three hours. just as I was getting out a school of fish started busting bait all around me. I threw my sebile magic swimmer 125 for a while but nothing. I loaded up and hit the road in search of silver. Way too many people on the shore for this but did find one spot. I threw the spook for a while till they showed. Was lucky enough to have two blow ups, one stuck for a second or two while I was on the phone with the wife. had alot of follows all the way to shore then roll out. they bolted and so did I. Man Great bass bite and the good old frustrating vina'a....Great night Glad to have some time again. For now....Fire season is here. Green bass on Monday...
