came out here with my brothers and a friend, and met up with Squidy and chomponthis a little later, i guess leaky and ed were out at the jetty the whole time so i never met up with them. but i caught few fat spotties, a short hali, croakers, lizard fishes, and 3 calicos

And then SLiM562 caught a nice size spotty

But Franklyn562 caught the biggest spotty from all of us.

i didn't net it, i pulled it up like that, it was only like 10 inches.. no need for netting lol.. and i just noticed that it looks like blood on there O_o? maybe it was the blood from the croaker that was left over on my net in front of me. not sure though

lol i'd eat him if he was legal, and yeah i lip grip all fishes i get cause i don't tend to touch any fishes and i like to lip grip them for a picture cause if my hands were wet or slimy i wouldnt touch my phone for a pic

Yup poor hali is on a road to a doomed road to death he will end up with fin rot. Thats why rubber nets are the best for c&r of halibut and in general causes less stress on any fish c&r

yeah but i caught him like that cause i didn't use a net to scoop him because he was so little. about 10 inches..
