i had a buddy that easily mounted a reg trolling motor on a fishcat4.. he just put a 5gal bucket in the back had some would mounted to it so the trolling motor could clamp onto the bucket..and he put the shaft thru the hole on the back of the fishcats.. the 12v batt. went inside the bucket to stay dry it worked surprisingly well

Don't know about other states, but here in CA. that would cause you to have to register your tube as a vessel and pay launch fees like a boat. NO THANKS!

I have seen a transom mount trolling motor adapted to fit in a truck tire with a battery which would then be used to tow a float tube. Might be bit cheaper!
