Went out a few days ago in search of bass.
Well i ran into these guys and have at it for a bit.
All released to breed. caught on fly lined crawlers mostly.

Later , I went carp fishin at elsinore and caught a few .
Some days are better than others.
One can average over 20 carps in a couple hrs.
Easy picking for the 1/2 hr i was there.

I went back out the next day to skinnet for a few dozen more.
Released.

Nice Fat Gills ! Glad you turned them back cuz you can see they have been workin over their nests really hard and are all scraped up . I used to cast a big ol rubber crawfish with no hook in it once in awhile near their nest just to watch how terretorial them little buggers are. They dont take no stuff off nothin . Act like first cousin to a piranha when you get up in their business .

Beautiful panfish and cool of you for releasing those big bad boys! Skinner just might surpass Perris when it comes to the size of those Florida "Coppernose" Bluegill that both lakes have. I have got to get out there with my ultralight tackle. It's just too bad that float tubing is not allowed there.
