The location is 18th street in Newport I will post a map later. I want everyone to know that we have to pay for parking (there are meters there) and they are inforced. This is I feel the best place for all of us to meet as it offords us with plenty of parking. The other problem is I dont think you can feed the meters untill 7 am or 8 am. Just plan to spend in parking should be a good day and I will have some free gear for all, se you there.

Yeah and I think u can only do an hour at a time. Someone will have to be on qurter duty each hour. Guess we will all have shifts. Hehheh

Guys I picked this spot do to the fact that there was plenty of parking and easy excess to the water. If there is another spot let me know.
We just need to make sure there is places to park and are all able to meet up at the end again.

I just looked at the map of 18th Street in Newport. I know exactly where that is. I actually got a parking ticket there once a couple of years ago for a meter violation. I think if was 68 bucks. LOL! So if you look at the map, Dano can verify as well that the launch site is directly across the bay from where Dano and I launched and fished from a couple weeks ago. The parking there is free. I think Madbasser is right in that the meter is 1 hour limit only. However, that area does have a bathroom and picnic facilities. The other choices are to go further down Balboa Blvd and launch right at the opposite side before the Wedge. Parking there is free as well and there are plenty of boat docks and the "famed" life guard area. However, the only reason I would stay away from that area is that, there is heavy boat traffic. We would be in the channel that leads all the vessels in and out of NPH. Some of the new salt bobbers may be a bit nervous there. The area Dano I fished is like a lake. You have combo boat docks, mid moored boats, and some variable structure fishing. Dano and I cover a ton of water that day and still managed to stay fairly close by. I am good to go where ever you all want to pick. The metered area at 18th street is fine with me. We would all have to take turns to feed the meters is all. I don't want to step on Jeff's plans for us at all here. I am only giving my 2 cents hehe. I just want to go fish!

When I was there I would say there was at least parking for 8-10 cars free all day. Just think its a pain to get out and pay plus it limits how far you are able to kick around and will seperate the group. Im good with whatever but it was great access and very easy. Not tryin to step on your toes Jeff. You have to remember, we all have way to much energy and fishing is our crack pipe. You never know what addicts will do

Well let me know where the spot is and we will see if it works.

I am liking the free parking idea. I agree it will be a pain loading meters every hour. I might also suggest car pooling too if possible. My truck will seat 5 if anyone wants a ride!

I am open for a differnt meeting spot just need have enough space to park, and get it set be fore the weekend so we can let everyone know.
