Castaic lagoon

Has anyone fished the tube derby there this year and what is a good strategy there?

Tube derby, yes..there, no. One rod for trolling, one rod for active casting. What is your species of attack?

I've posted up last years event's and this years, no one from this forum seems to want to go, they all say it's too far. Funny thing is we have guy's who drive down from Porterville for just about each event, and they normally do pretty well. We had 38 tubers show up for the first one back in April (only 3 skunked out) 33 showed up earlier this month, sad to say a lot of them skunked out this time.

Drop shoting robo's and enka's seem to do the trick most of the time, some of the guys like to throw big old swimbaits, after that it's up to you. My advise is to hang around the other tubers once we kick it off for about an hour and see if they start catching.

I have been wanting to go but no time and I wouldn't mine trying to get to st least one of them

I'm going to try to find time to go to the sept. event if I can get my buddy to split fuel with me to get out there and hopefully prefish it atleast 1 time.
