What are some of the fish finders you guys have used in the passed trial and error? Just wondering my options on if I should bother building a new rack for my fish cat 4 for a fish finder or not bother with mounting a fish finder. Are they more hassle then there worth or what's your opinion?ive looked at the hummingbird fishing buddy but not sure if that's a good route to go or not. What ever route I go I'm mainly looking for structure instead of being blind. Thanks for the input

Budget? Budget dictates the options you will have your fishfinder. Remember, fishfinder is just the starting point. The costs also involve on the mounting, and batteries, as well as a charger if you're heading into the realm of LiOn or LiPO (not liposuction).

Fishingkid - not to be a dick here but check out the forum. Do some research before asking questions.
I have seen several posts asking the same question over the last couple of months.

Like Asainguy said, it's all about how much you have to spend.

For $200 go with lowrance elite 4x dsi, 3d down image. $225 out the door.
BTW - yeah I did read the title and yes that is why I opened it and said what I did.
Repeat posts over and over is what keeps alot of guys away from the forum.

I have the FB and like it for what I use it for.  I just wanted something to give me depth and show simple bottom structure and it does that just fine.  It is the first FF I have ever owned and I am sure that I could use it more than I do but so far it serves its purpose.

Here is a link for different unit a guy has for sale if it's something you're interested in:
