Wintertime chilly float tube trip! 12/27/13

Did another float tube trip with my buddy. This was only his second trip out and he's getting spoiled! lol It's probably because I'm putting him on good fishing! haha!!

Anyways, we tubed the LBC, or Long Beach as others may know it, for the usual fishy suspects: Sand Bass, Rubberlip Perch, Calicos, Rockfish, and the endangered Lizardfish population that appears to be making a great come back! (insert laughter here!)

My catch: 12 Rubberlip Perch on mussels and a SWIMBAIT, 1 small Calico, one 9" grass bass, and 2 sandbass (13" and 11") in deep 20-40' of water (no barotrauma so it was all good!)

Float tuber #2: 5 Sand bass (8"-11") , 5 pile perch that he snagged all in the head or anus. lol he claims that the fish were trying to mate with his lure.

A 9" grass bass decided to bite. This was a surprising catch. He's lucky that I wasn't going to cook dinner that night. lol.

Thanks. I was having a blast, but after my buddy told me about his 3 bass I suddenly had an urge to catch more fish lol!

Thanks Tony. The tube is great! It's tough as nails and gets me through the water much faster than my old U-shaped tube. There's only a few things that are a drag about it. One, the holes in the tube are rusting out from the salt. Two, clean the whole set-up takes a bit longer than my old one. But, all in all, it's a great set-up, and it's even better considering that I got it for 50% off!   

awesome bro.....and that sucks about the holes being rusted.....but cant beat the 50% off...
