Just some important reminders: safety comes first, so when evaluating float tube capacity or when using any float tube ALWAYS observe and practice ALL water safety precautions including: ALWAYS wearing a US Coast Guard approved personal flotation device, NEVER using when lightning is possible, using only in still water free of currents or winds, maintaining a safe distance close to shore in shallow water, properly inflating the float tube and keeping it properly inflated with changes in air and water temperature or air pressure or exposure to direct sun, never using a damaged, leaking, patched or repaired float tube, allowing only one person per float tube but using the buddy system to have others close to provide assistance if needed, staying squarely seated with bodyweight in the center of the seat of the float tube at all times, never attaching or tying yourself to the float tube, never allowing children to use the float tube, never consuming potentially intoxicating substances before or when using a float tube, practicing using the float tube in shallow, calm water to master skills in safely using it, and inspecting the float tube to confirm bladders are free of leaks and to assess suitability and safety for use each time it is inflated and at intervals during use and keep away from sharp objects that might pierce the float tube.
