So its finally time to loose my extra winter weight lol. I have an app where I need to log my activities and wouldn't you know they don't have float tubing as a listed activity lol so I'm hoping someone on here has an idea of how many calories are burned during an hour of tubing. I tend to fish the San Diego bay in my tube so I'm constantly kicking some days harder then others so I know it won be exact but I'm hoping for an average. So if anyone can help I'd appreciate it and so would my gf lol

I think I know the app how about going with swimming and drop the time in half.

So something like -4 hours of tubing = 2 hours of swimming ?

This has been calculated before so please let your GF know that I am saying this based on actual scientific fact.
Every ounce of energy spent spent kicking fins actually is double that of swimming. So if you spend 1 hour kicking around the bay it's equivalent to swimming 60 laps in an Olympic pool.
Basically, more fishing = less weight and a greater fitness level in general.

Hahaha awesome and you can't argue with science

Our dad is trying to lose weight too. He float tubes and plays volleyball with us. Also he was on a no carb diet (and no ice cream or other junk food) and that got him to lose weight. He's been kinda grumpy tho  lol!  lol! . He lost 30 pounds in like a month just from doing this.
