Thanks guys.  I've always had great beginners luck!  And this fish was one lucky surprise--absolutely no idea there were saltwater stripers this far south.

As a beginner, I have to really commend everybody on this board--it has been an absolute wealth of information.  

I'm looking forward to meeting many of you in Newport on the 18th!

Man congrats on that catch , I have hunted strippers on the tube before in freshwater and no luck , But for you to catch one in the salt that's a catch of a lifetime Thumbs Up
