Need some help with advertising leads

Hey guys so I had an idea bases of my not having enough time to truly put in hours and hours of time to build the forum and magazine. Yes the forum is a free online program but like dear old mom use to say there is nothing free in life. The magazine is now not free it will take some money to continue to run and grow. I am sure you have all seen our list of Partner / Sponsors, which has grown over the years, but is now shrinking slightly. This is fine we are trimming the fat. What you don’t know is that the majority of them both in the on the forum and in the magazine are none paid Partner / Sponsors. This was fine at the start of our board and it served us very well, but now it is time to grow up. So I have developed an advertising kit with pricing and options. I have been working at this for some time, with some success but I am only one man.

So here is my offer to our members I will be offering you 10% of the value of new advertising, brought in to our forum and or the magazine, before January. So to answer the next question how much is the advertising costs, we have a whole cost structure that can range from $150 to upwards of $4000 for full advertising in both the magazine and the forum. So you could end up making upwards of $400 on simple getting us a lead. I am not asking for you to sell the ad’s rather sell the forum and magazine and find us some leads to follow up on.

So what are we looking for, truly anything that fits our activity and more, I have sent e-mail out to many different companies, and talk with a lot of people. We should start asking tackle shops, and Sporting Goods Stores, Maybe some Life vest companies or manufactures of fins, and flashlight. The ideas can go on and on. Like I said earlier I am only one man and it is getting tough to keep up with it all. Please understand this is a delicate operation here, we don’t want to push or what is called a hard sale. I am only looking for leads to be able to talk to and offer our advertising package. So if your lead pays out I will be happy to give you that 10% commission for your hard work. Maybe out there, but scuba.com in Irvine and ocean safari in alhambra. Both are dive shops, but their fin expertise might prove very helpful. We'll keep our eyes and ears open. I think the most difficult part is finding a shop that sells tubes/waders -_-

For scuba.com I believe it's bill lidyoff I think runs it. When I went through ADP (advance diver training) for L.A. County he was the director of L.A. County scuba. Good guy

Is there a flyer or something you could make up to better represent our site as a selling point for tackle shops. Just so when I walk in I have something with contact information and maybe a list of our other sponsors and how many members we have so they can see a potential for business for them. Just a thought but this forum pretty much sells itself with all the great work you've done with it

Try mojo flies and betts guide service. Fishing guide out of Michigan but has amazing flies at reasonable and is always looking for new stuff. Chad betts is the owner. Good guy, tell him jennifer & John davis sent you. He also guide in Alaska and expanding to saltwater in the keys.
