Another new guy to float fishing

Hi to all, I am Tom and live in Pa. I just bought a Lost Lake open front float tube at Bass Pro Shop. I never tried this type of fishing before but I'm looking forward to it. I hope to learn much about float tube use and fishing at the forum and share the fun I have in the future. jtderr.

welcome to the forum i have that tube too and i also have 2 other ones as well i weight 220 lbs and it float me pretty good for its size hope you enjoy your floating

I thank you for the welcome. I didn't get out with the tube yet I'm still gathering things to use, just got waders and a 5 LB folding anchor yesterday. I would like some tips about making and mounting a rod holder and tips for anchoring. I hope to get out with the tube on Saturday.

Well I had the maiden voyage with the White River Lost Lakes open front tube today and you all were right I love it. All went well except the catching of fish. The fish won! I can still look forward to my first catch while using the tube. I thank you for the info on the rod racks and I might try to put one together later but for now I bought the Bass Pro Shops rod holder to strap on the tube and it worked fine. I went to a State lake in Pa about 35 mile from my home and drew quite a bit of attention from the boaters and kyachers. I will look for a different PFD to use but all in all it was awesome.
