Lake Perris Monday Topwater fun

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Had the day off so My buddy and I shot to Perris to give the bass a shot. We started at the tire reef around 630am working jigs cranks and spinnerbaits for zero.. Around 730am I tied on a luckycraft surface popper and made a cast into 2 feet of water and bam it gets inhaled by a good one. Now im fishing light (6# test) on a spinning outfit and it was an epic battle with submerged trees to deal with. Well I got her in. I managed 1 more on a drop shot but lost 2 good ones on buzzbaits. My buddy landed 3 on the same popper up to 2.8 lbs and lost 4 including 2 good ones as well. Real fun day..I love topwater fish

Didnt use the tube since my buddy was off
