My name is Matt! I am 29 and currently merging from Temecula to orange California. This post is starting off like one of those dating site "about me's" soooo to get things goin a little quicker here, I'm brand new to tubing. Friends of mine purchased me a tube from bass pro In January and my first putting was in the cbad goon last week, fishing for spotties and halibut. I enjoy all types of fishing, fresh and salt- avid surf fishermen as well. However my new challenge is fishing from the tube and haven't a whole ton of experience. I would like to check out dph, nph and hbh. All the research I've done online has given me some questions to the legality and safety of where to fish in those places- hoping I can learn on this forum! Found it through another forum I have been on for surf fishing. Other interests include art, music, surfing, camping and craft beer. Hope to talk to some of you soon! - Matt!

Welcome Matt, congrats on your tube and yeah plenty of info on the site.....

i for the most part fish NPH, i work in aliso and live in Santa Ana..i try and hit it every wednesday...come join....i usually launch at 530 and go till 9....

as for tubing the salt, yeah you have to have your head on a swivel maybe wear a bright color....at night headlights for sure, i put a glow stick on mine when i remember lol, i was out yesterday and there was lots of traffic...you usually try to stay close to the docks and not get into the main channel...anyways, welcome enjoy your stay
