I really feel like Utah has unlimited fishing potential, meaning you can pretty much pick a style of fishing (fly, spin, whatever) and a lure/fly within that method and make it work somewhere.

I fished as many of the reservoirs I can get a tube into the last few months and have been amazed at what I could get the trout to grab on to. I busted out the ultralight spin gear and tried some new and some not-so-new methods too. Marabou, crappie, and tube jigs have [i]never[i] worked for me in the past when I would fish the limited SoCal fisheries (which are mostly private and cost $$$), so it was awesome to have options AND have them produce!

Anyone else have this kind of experience where they just seem to grab onto anything!?

mac_2_nite those are some killer pictures and looks like a great place to fish. Might have to add that to my bucket list.

Great pics and thanks for sharing!
I have had a couple of times where the trout seem to be committing suicide. Few and far between, but memorable.

Jerdon it's almost laughable sometimes, when even half-assed casts get hits and hooksets and there's nobody around!

Days like that always leave my gear smelling fishy, and I think of that on the crap or skunk days. Gets me motivated to be out on the water

Should be a nice long warm season, who knows if we'll get a real winter ever again! I have had some gnarly days in the backcountry of Hells Canyon Wilderness in ID, it's like nowhere else!
