I just don't use it. I absolutely love it, but I know all the fishing areas I fish at (SD bay), and I never fish alone, so I rely on my buddy's FF so I don't have to carry mine haha. I'd prefer to reinvest my money on something else (rod, reel) down the road.

What part of San Diego Bay do you guys fish? Like to join up with you some time if that is ok. I fish over at Tideland Park a lot but looking for other locations.

What type of power supply battery do you use for this unit?

@SP Dan: That's correct. They're very easy to replace.

@rusty hook: Absolutely, you can join us at anytime. We haven't float tubed in a while because it's too cold and we're now hitting lakes for trout (mainly Poway, Wohlford, and Dixon), otherwise we usually tube once a week (usually on Sat) and hit a different spot every time. We fish Tidelands too and it's a great spot, probably one of my favorites. We tube at Bahia (MB), Quivira Basin (MB), South Cove (MB), SeaWorld Marina (MB), Fiesta Island (MB), Sail Bay (MB), Shelter Island (SD), Americas Cup (SD), etc. Next time we go out, I'll post it here so you or anyone else can join us. Smile

@SP Dan
I too have not hit the bay in a while due to the weather etc. I did try Poway for the first time last week got there around 11:00 but the bite was over. I like lake Dixon and will try to hit it this Wednesday as the boat rentals are only $18.00 for us seniors. If anyone would like to join me let me know soon.
Looking forward to meeting others that like to fish.
Rusty
