Ok I don't know if any of you know Brandon... "brandonfish" Well I have had the opportunity to fish with him on a few occasions. This guy is a dedicated tuber to say the least. Well just as the guys in the surfing world began tow-in surfing to take thier sport to new levels Brandon and a few of his buddies are now tubing the long beach federal breakwall.... yes way out there and they are doing it at night!!! here are the results of one recent trip.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]This is what I love ... we have our own x games type sport. We are only limited by ourselves. As for myself iIm on standby for the shark fishing expedition I have been preparing for. The Threshers are there. I have spoken to my guys out there and they are there and biting right now..All I need is weather to co operate. so here is to the people that push the envalope and show us what is really possible.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

That is extreme! I fish the breakwall from my boat often and that is not a place to be snoozing I tell ya. The guys at night go blowing by the breakwall at WOT and it's freaking scary! I don't think I want to be in a tube there. I mean if you had proper nav lights that are raised up higher from you tube would be safer. Also, I wonder if the Harbor Patrol would have an issue with tubers there. (from a safety stand point) Cool pictures! Nice fish for sure! Bay, when you are ready for your Thresher adventure, let me know. I and a few guys will be in my boat and film it and assist you.

Ya that takes some big furry ones to get out there and do what they did. At least that is the way I feel about it.

Thank you LC those were exactly the words I needed to hear.. the only thing that was holding me back was the surf launch. If we could work something out that I was able to hitch a ride out to the waters I want to fish it sure would make this idea a lot more doable. plus the added comfort of knowing someone is out there in case something goes bad.. Thank You. I am scoping out the NOAA website every few hours looking for the window that I can fish. Tell me this what days are you available during the week if any and we can start from there. I would like to get this done asap while the threshers are there in the Hermosa Beach area.

I like the way Tuesday the 14th is setting up. I have very small surf and swell to deal with with winds picking up in the afternoon.. In a perfect world I would like to be in the water by 7am and have this fish caught by 9am.. If they are there a pair of slow trolled macks should get a response pretty quick.

Im thinkin a couple of buckets of blood may do the same thing. I personally cannot wait to see this happen. Shocked

threshers really dont need the whole blood and chum thing. just good bait and the right area..
