Well maybe not extreme but im wondering...whats the craziest place you have or you would bring your tube. Obviouslysafety is a big factor and having a buddy with you is a good idea when "pushing the limits".

I saw a guy float tubing in mission point along the rocks before you get to the "beach part". It was pretty windy and the water was choppy...not to mention random boats coming through puttin up a wake. But, he seemed fine while he was out there, didnt look like he was strugglingoor anything like that.

Im not gonna kick my tube out to San Clemente or anything but i am curious to what i safely CAN do with it. Im sure some of you nuts have taken your tube where others havent gone....so fill me in please.

Colorado river, upper marsh from Colorado, and head down..all the way down..to California, Blythe marsh. Just make sure to pull your legs up real high on those shallow areas. Inflatable pontoons and kayaks are heavily recommended..heheheheh. Huge fishes to haul out.

Oh, forgot something. Make sure to eat heavy portions of proteins, and pack plenty of water and protein bars along the way. Kicking and rowing for that long for that many days..well, let just say you'll be dead for days after the fun is over, with enough pains to last you for a month.

My most extreme time was fishing long beah oil island grisam island. It puts out a lot of spottys and barracuda! Alot of fun. The current is real strong and wind picks up heavy on the back side.

Im always down if somebody wants to fish a hard spot...i only have 2 buddies that float tube and they rarely do it...so i can never find anybody to go with.

I feel like the extra bouyancy (sp?) Of my fishcat would def help though. Seems like they had saltwater anglers in mind when they made it. Im thinking about buying an anchor too just in case...the fishcat has a perfect storage area behind the seat for one so why now? Safety first.

Dude, I don't know. Tubing in that type of conditions? especially in the salt? Better get yourself a nice 8lbs fluke anchor and 100ft of line for securing your position. Also a GPS marker for emergency reason. I can you you guys might be shark baits.

I have been to that spot more than 100 times it's where I learns to tube and fish. I took Ed to this spot too before. We can make plans to go. Just keep in mind the water is real cold right now so the bite will not be as good as the spring time but I'm ready to go when "YOU" are!!!!
