Rod handles?

I have a couple of baitcasting rods that I still occasionally use that have the old "pistol grip" style rod handles. Does anyone still use these handles? I still like the way they feel and with certain smaller baits and jigs, and I feel like I have better control with casting and retrieving than with the straight longer handles, especially while float tubing.

I did have some for a while but i prefer a longer handle. If it feels right its all good, i am just not into the pistol grip any more.
