So guys I really feel for a first full run tournament things are going very well. I am happy with the posts and those that are involved, knowing that there are some still trying to get on the board and it will happen for them soon there is plenty of time.

I statement was made and that was where are all the freshwater report and in that sense I would also like to add saltwater reports as well. Please don't take this as a problem I am not looking at it like that I am simple want to ask what other are thinking.

My thoughts are this while we are deep into this Tourney for some there are new members that may want to be involved or just want to know more but are not seeing the other information. The posts of Reports and ideas of safety or techniques that I think we are great at. What are your thoughts I am asking everyone does anyone else see this as a problem, or is it just me. I am not sure if there is really a solution as of right now but I think at least the awareness can be a start if in fact others feel the same way.

Maybe we could hear from some of the new members first about this. What is EVERYONES thoughts, I feel the tournament is taking us in a new direction and in time it could be very big if we let it be that way, but we don't want to lose our roots the very posts and threads that made us who we are today. We are a strong group and much can be accomplished together, so post up your thoughts on this subject and let see where this takes us. Thumbs Up

Jeff...

It's pretty simple: remember: " If Johnny jumps off a bridge...are you going to too?"

What REAL difference does it make what other competitors are doing???

To be honest...without even any success on the water...this forum has helped me immensely!!!

This forum is great, and VERY soon, you will see freshwater guys coming from behind. ( I just can't catch fish clearing up the dammned property!)

I want to find this SOB's address, because I GUARANTEE....there is SOMETHING there in CITY CODE VIOLATION!

Anyway...I digress...but seriously...are you gonna catch more fish because you're behind???

Everyday I've ever fished... it's been me against the fish.

And, I seriously pity the fool that does not enjoy that, but only sees a money bag at the end of the day.

I ENJOY MYSELF fishing, and I hope you do too. I EAT fish, spme of the ones I catch.

Let me blow your mind just a little bit: Do you know who was the best football player in the world was?

Tourney looks good, but I understand it's a bit skewed agaimst those who have a harder time to get on the water. Unfortunately, the weather this year has put a damper on the freshies while the salts are seriously putting the hurt on them. Overall, I call it a successful event in progress.

I think what Jeff is saying is that the majority of posts and talk on the board has been skewed towards the tournament, which is understandable, but we're more than just one topic here.

Every point on the board could also be part of a separate, regular fish report, the kind where we usually also add information about where we were and how we were fishing, the helpful stuff that, frankly, got me going, so I can relate. The fun stuff!

HugeEuge's Bartlett Lake report is just the ticket!

I've added a net and a bump board to my gear and I've developed ways to attach them and make them work for me, I could do a gear related post about that, and I bet others are making interesting mods.

I also went to a new spot in new harbor and I posted a fish on the board, but I didn't do a separate fish report about that whole experience and I should have and will do this weekend.

The tournament is icing on the cake, but let's not forget the cake is what makes it all work.

Anyway, that's what I'm hearing.

Ornery Bob hit it on the head guys all is well I just wanted to know what you guys thought of as far as the direction we are going. I like the direction I just hope we don't lose the past the parts that made us who we are. Keep on posting and keep on fishing and thanks to all the FTFF members for making us what we are.

Here's hoping something jumps out...puntures your already leak bladder, and you crash and burn!!!

There's not enough room for 2 cranky old men on this forum! Get offline by sundown!!!

JK....anyway, yeah, you know this forum has sections for fishing reports for everywhere.

I've already checked Texas, and they seem to be avoiding this place like the plague or something!!!

I don't know if it's any kind of regional or fresh/salt preference, just know it's there.

I've only been here a short while, but...as someone else said...(and me)...us freshwater guys can catch up in a hurry.

But... I've learned so much since joining, that I have to give Kudos to not only the founder of this site, but the whole membership. Without exception, everyone has been super kind and helpful, and I ESPECIALLY appreciate your patience with me.

I can come across the wrong way at times tapping a keyboard.
