Let's get coolbaits on board as forum sponsors!

First session of the season in board shorts - water is warming up fast.

Goofed up and accidentally hit the zoom button when I was loading the camera on the holder, so I missed getting the shot of one qualifier, but that's life. I still got to catch the fish!

Not one of my better videos this time, but I'll keep at it and keep trying to do better. I only caught two fish with decent video, so I showed the whole story on both of them starting with the cast. The last fish was my tournament qualifier that I posted to the tournament thread.

I thought it was really fun because I used a side cast to get into the shade next to the wall and it worked perfectly. As I say in the video, it was definitely one of those tight spots that float tubes excel and getting into.

I'm sure most of the salt tubers will recognize the location. Wink Jeff mentioned once that it was one of his favorites and it's definitely now one of mine.

This was from Saturday and I went again today and didn't get any qualifiers, but I think I got some decent video that I'm going to look at next and probably post as a second report. Gotta build my channel!

I've also recently added the CoolBait Under Spins lures to my tackle arsenal.
I started out using their 3/16oz model and I landed a 20 1.2" Hali on my first usage of it in LAH.

Last night I purchased (3) more lures but this time in the heavier "original" 3/8oz model.

I would like to thank franfd for the introduction to this lure after he had posted up some really crazy SDMB fish numbers ... and I would also welcome the solicitation to CoolBait for becoming yet another cool-sponsor here on FTFF.

Thats a cool lure. Very popular in Florida rivers. Try a roadrunner. Cheaper and work just as well. If you really want get your harbor freak on, check out Savage Gear. They got some kung fu that will help you scratch them over fished harbors.

Sand eel with lead head. It fishes horizontal down deep. The slow grind with a rare pop pop will get you bitted. Oh hey you see the duck lure? Brutal.

Thanks, Pdawg! That sand eel looks like a great bait. Gonna have to try one out!

I'll make you guys a deal... I bought sandeel tails in bulk a while back, 4 in. firecracker and christmas tree. also 5.5 in. green/silver and brown/red and black with gold flake. I think I also have 6 in. dirty silver. NO HEADS JUST TAILS. I will gladly part with say, 5-6 at a time if they are picked up at perris, at no charge just so you can try 'em. I pass the lake every day.I know perris is far for some, so if we work out a shipping deal thats fine. again I won't be charging for the baits just what it takes to get them to ya. please limit it to just a couple baits so everyone can try a few. I think I gave a couple to Jerdon last year... let me know if you have tried them, bud. look here for colors I've listed: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

pm me what you want and if you're picking them up or if I need to find out how much to ship. shouldn't be more than a couple bucks for a bubble pack.
