I set off out in my tube the other week chasing pike as usual but after a couple of hours of nothing I decided to go home grab a light fly rod and go target some rising trout since I'd not been since the trout season in my region started on March the 25th.

We have strange rules on seasons over here, coarse species are currently out of season until June the 16th, a dated rule that most people would like to see changed. The following were by catch but made Tuesdays session up to a 4 species day including trout, grayling, chub and gudgeon
