ATTENTION (Notice of Lake Closure for boating) Copper Sulfate treatment scheduled for Thursday July 20th, 2017.
On Thursday, July 20th, 2017 lake will be closed to from 0600 AM till 3:00 PM to boats while copper sulfate is dropped by helicopter. The lake will be closed to boating but all other park activities will be open (Camping, hiking, biking, swimming close to shore in designated swim areas is ok). Lake Perris is used by hundreds of thousands of Southern California residents for water consumption. Copper Sulfate improves water quality and also prevents toxic Alage blooms which have impacted Silverwood Lake and Lake Pyramid this summer.
