Hi Everyone

My name is Branders from Long Beach and I just wanted to introduce myself. This last weekend was my first float (Newport Beach Harbor/Kids Beach) and I absolutely loved it, even though the first half of the day was just figuring things out. I decided to get a Tube because I was tired of being limited to the shore and jockeying for a spot. I wanted the freedom to fish where other people can’t get to. Feel free to reach out and say hi and any tips or tricks would be awesome!

Tight lines

Welcome to the dark side branders, glad you found us. I remember my first trip and learning to move around was interesting to say the least. But in a very short time you will master it and more. I am glad you explained your reason for getting in to float tube fishing. I agree it was all about getting to spots that no one else could get to that excited me. Also I am not a bait and wait type of fishermen, I need to be moving and this style just fits the bill. Once again welcome and we look forward to hearing more from you soon.

Welcome to the forum branders. The tube really gives you access to spots not available from shore. All in good fun.

Welcome Branders! Glad to see Long Beach representing!

I definitely remember feeling frustrated at not being able to maneuver on my first float. But it won't take long until getting around in the tube becomes second nature and you don't even think about it.

We're very lucky to live in a place that has tons of great fishing within a couple of hours drive in basically any direction. Fresh, salt, record size fish, SoCal has it all and tubing is a great way to get at it!

Hit me up any time you want to get together for a session on the water!
